Our streamlined registration process allows you to start your studies with ease. Follow these steps to enroll.

  • Add your desired course to your cart
  • Create a MyCPE account Set up your MyCPE account and provide your personal and contact information. As part of this process, you’ll be asked about any prior affiliation with Boston University to ensure accurate records and avoid duplicates.
  • Submit your payment BU offers a variety of payment options, including a two-installment, interest-free payment plan.
  • Access your course materials Upon successful registration and payment, you will receive an email with next steps. Once your course begins, you’ll have 24/7 access to lessons, assignments, and instructor feedback.

Tuition and Fees

Below is the breakdown of tuition costs for each of our genealogy courses.

Genealogical Principles Course: $995

Duration: Seven weeks

Ideal for newcomers and less experienced genealogists looking to gain formal training.

Genealogical Practicum Course: $995

Duration: Seven weeks

Provides hands-on research experience for intermediate-level genealogists.

Certificate in Genealogical Research: $2,695

Duration: Fifteen weeks

Teaches advanced techniques for professionals seeking deeper expertise.

Course materials, such as textbooks, are not included in the tuition and must be purchased separately.

Certificate registrants can pay in two interest-free installments. Seek private, credit-based financing.

*The installment plan is only for students enrolling in the full certificate program. Course registrations are not eligible for the installment payment option.
